Geohazard Identification Report (GIR)
GUIDE IN THE PREPARATION OF A GIR
- Indicate possible present geohazard in the project site
- If necessary, proponent shall conduct further studies according to the recommendations stated in the GIR and shall submit a corresponding Geohazard Assessment Report (GAR)
- checklist per MGB MC 2000-33 shall apply to the GAR
QUALIFICATIONS OF GIR AND GAR PREPARERS
- Licensed professional Geologist with a minimum experience of five (5) years as a practicing geologist
- or licensed Engineer with the following qualifications:
- Minimum of five (5) years experience in land development and/or infrastructure development; and;
- At least six (6) months training in Engineering Geology/Structural geology or post-graduate diploma in Engineering Geology/Structural Geology
GOVERNMENT PROJECTS:
- Subject to a memorandum of agreement, in accordance with the provisions of DENR A.O. No. 2000-28
EXCLUSIONS
- The guidelines and provisions of DENR A.O. 2000-28 and MGB MC 2000-33 shall apply to housing projects whose permitting process has been started prior to the date of issuance of this Memorandum
- For non-housing projects subject to IEE/EIA and ECC processing, the guidelines on the conduct of scoping (GSSR), EGGA Review/Verification shall apply in accordance with DENR A.O. No. 2000-28 and MGB Memo Circular No. 2000-33, unless otherwise amended or revoked.
