Participants of the Administrative Policies and Systems Workshop held last February 28-March 2, 2017 at the Island Cove Hotel and Leisure Park

Fifteen Regional Offices converged at the Island Cove Hotel and Leisure Park in Binakayan, Kawit Cavite on February 28 to March 2, 2017 for the Administrative Policies and Systems Workshop. This was attended by the Chief Administrative Officers, Administrative Officer V, MGBEA Chapter Presidents and personnel from the Procurement Services, facilitated by the Administrative Division of the Central Office.

Chief Administrative Officer Jerome N. Ventic, Administrative Officer V Joanne Rose O. Alvarez, MGBEA-X Chapter President Mary Jossel H. Dispo and Inventory Clerk Sarah Jane R. Legaspi attended the said seminar-workshop which is aimed at harmonizing administrative systems and to provide updates on current policies concerning the Bureau.

Simultaneous workshops on Administrative Systems gathered Regional Chief AOs and Administrative Officer V to discuss matters concerning Personal Services Itemization and Plantilla of Personnel vis-à-vis the implementation of the Program Expenditure Classification (PREXC); and review of the FY 2017 Training Plans and Programs which then serves as basis for the preparation of the FY 2018 Training Programs. Outputs of which serve as inputs in the simultaneously conducted Planning Workshop in preparation for the FY 2018 Budget Proposals.  Updates on Administrative matters such as recruitment, selection and promotion; property plan and equipment; official and personal travels; scholarship and study leave; important CSC updates were highlighted.

Supply Officers and PHILGEPS handlers gathered to discuss procurement related policies vis-à-vis the revised RA 9184, PHILGEPS posting and the accomplishment of the Agency Procurement Compliance and Performance Indicator (APCPI).

The three-day seminar-workshop concluded with the emphasis on Professional Accountability which every civil servant should be very aware of since a public duty is a public trust and calls for a high standard of ethics, highest degree of excellence, professionalism, intelligence and skill. That as civil servants one should be at all times be accountable to the people and shall discharge their duties with utmost responsibility, integrity, competence, and loyalty, act with patriotism and justice, lead modest lives, and uphold public interest over personal interest.
