All too often, technical report writing is loaded with unintelligible jargons, graphs and charts making it incomprehensible to most readers.  Sometimes reports fail to convey its real message either for the lack or overload of words.  Hence, a two-day seminar workshop on Technical Report Writing was conducted last May 24-25, 2018 at the VIP Hotel this city and was participated in by both non-technical and technical personnel of the Regional Office.

The two-day workshop provides learners with the knowledge to make professional writing more direct, informative, and concise for intended audiences.  Salvador C. dela Peña, Ph.D, Chairperson of the Department of Languages, Literature and Performing Arts of Liceo de Cagayan University provided scholarly inputs highlighting grammar correctness.

Day One is packed with workshops on grammar correctness, conciseness, simplicity and accuracy of the written works. Extensive inputs on parallelism and in-depth discussion on modifiers left the learners exhausted. Day Two delved more on the technical aspects of report writing with workshop on writing an investigation report employing the guidelines discussed highlighted the day’s output.

Mr. Jerome N. Ventic gave his closing message by challenging the participants to really use what they have learned and deliver better written outputs.
